Today I went snowshoeing with my friend Marylou. Marylou is 65 years young. I met her when I was personal training at WRP about 4 years ago. She was in one of the corporate groups. This woman is amazing. She does bootcamp classes like 20 and 30 year olds do. She is dediated to working out, always pushes herself, enjoys going on cruises and just enjoys life. I've been wanting to go out snowshoeing and today seemed like the perfect day. Marylou knows a lot of the trails as well so that was nice.
Time to start
We headed up to Tumalo Falls and hiked in to the falls. It's about 3 miles each way. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. Rhodie came along as well and had a great time. He was pooped when we got home.
At Tumalo Falls--we stopped and had lunch.
Rhodie at the falls.
Tenley starts skiing on Saturdays this coming Saturday. I plan on snowshoeing or taking a skate ski lesson here and there. That way I can drop her off at the mountain and then not come all the way back home. I will just hang up there and get in some snow sports. i was going to take up snowboarding but my left knee feels a little loose--just doens't feel quite as sturdy as it should so I'm worried I will tweak it while trying to snowboard, etc so I will stick to the flatter snow-sports. :) I'm trying to stay fairly injury free at this time as i really, really want my dang black belt and am dedicated to working towards that and would rather not have a major injury sideline me.
Enjoy the snowshoeing pics. I can't wait to go again--hopefully this Saturday!
